Greetings Hivers!
I've been working on some civilians to help populate our corner of the Underhive, affectionately known as Rockridge to those of you new to the Blog. I say 'working on' but I built them around 18 months ago and they've sat around waiting (im)patiently for some paint...blush.
The idea behind them was to incorporate more RPG elements into our games and add another layer to our more narrative style of gaming.
The first to be completed is Karina Page, investigatory journalist for the Rockridge Herald (no prizes for guessing I'm a huge fan of Netflix's Dare Devil 😉). Armed with nothing but her mic and her Servo-Remembrancer...
....Karina's reputation is a byword for integrity and truth in the Underhive...
...of course the adage that there are lies, damned lies and the Imperial truth is just as true on Necromunda as it is throughout the rest of the Imperium!Until next time....may the Hive Spirits watch over you 😉
Oh, man, you made my day. Best idea I've seen in quite a long time!!
ReplyDeleteGracias Suber...it's a long time since I made anyone's day ;-)
DeleteFantastic work and a great addition...now you've hammered a nail into my head that I need to get a servo skull of the same type....
ReplyDeleteThanks Marco.
DeleteI've had that servo-skull for at least 10 years waiting for something to do with it....and it's still available on Forge World's website.
Cracking addition to the Underhive!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave and welcome to our corner of the Underhive!
DeleteLovely work!
ReplyDeleteThank you and thanks for taking the time to comment 😁
DeleteWhat a very good idea... And a very good paintjob ^^
ReplyDeleteServiteur,
Merci Morikun
DeleteShe'll be one of four civilians to add a bit of an RPG feel to our games. They'll each have information about a particular 'quest' for our gangs to discover and help (or hinder) our gang's progress in our narrative campaigns.
That is a brave person and a lovely model, bravo.
ReplyDeleteCheers Rory.
DeleteThe gangs of Rockridge show her a reasonable amount of respect. Karina's position within the district's society grants her a certain degree of safety. She has the ability to bolster a gang's reputation...or reduce it should she come to harm. Of course roving bands of mutants or critters don't really care about reputation and our intrepid reporter has been in some close calls through the years ;-)
She reminds me of Cate Blanchett's character in Don't Look Up. Great work! Needs more media training!
ReplyDeleteThanks buddy.
DeleteI haven't seen Don't Look Up, I'll have to check it out.
I was going for Deborah Ann Woll but Cate Blanchette works just as well for me ;-)
