The Pump House

On the myriad of worlds in the Imperium there are many dark places where the machineries of Mankind grind and pump fluids and power to support the massed populations of the Imperium.

Down in the twilight of the pump house the air is thick with the smog of promethium burners and the heat exchangers create tropical climates within the vast industrial landscape. The floor is thick with carbon dust and many dangers lurk in every corner waiting for the unwary to pass by. Toxic pools of chemicals corrosive to the touch spew across the floor, their luminescence bathing everything in the sickly glow of radioactive waste. Yet amid this mass of grim dark horror, many archeotech treasures are to be found, enough to make even the sanest man (or woman) crazy enough to brave the perilous area. This is the turf of the Janitor and his Clean Up Crew and one thing is for certain, if you get an invitation to come down to the pump house you don't go alone!

The pump house floor is scattered with hazardous pools of toxic effluent

Pipes and walkways create plenty of cover and vantage points to defend the valuable Commodities

Experimenting with layout..

The scenery wont be fixed to make transport easy.

They will be glued onto as few a parts as is useful though to speed up set up

And so will be able to reconfigure the layout somewhat.

The Clean Up Crew
Apex Humongous (the Janitor) or just 'boss' and his two body guards 'Sinister' and 'Dexter' are never far away

'Ronin' has been given the task of educating the gangs juve 'grimey'

'Kano' totes a grenade launcher and brute cleaver for when it gets close and personal.

 'Epoch' and 'Zenith'

Until next time......

    1. It started as the styrene packing off the top of my new washing machine sliced into 4 .....if you don't need a washer it be cheaper to buy the forge world tiles😁

    2. Btw I edged the boards with a pvc trim to prevent them damaging to easy. Then primed with a mix of paint, filler, and pva glue to hide the tell tale texture of polystyrene. This seals enough for me to use three colours of spray paint to create the toxic pools. I then toped that with water effects.

  7. I'm going for cultists but was thinking of a theme for the board im going to make. And came up with a idea of making something like a forge complex or a deep admech manufacturers for knights. Very industry dirty confined weapons of war for the imperium. My cultists are trying to infiltrate and sway the work force and wanting to eventually take over the forge in the name of the flawless one. And please there lord Gabriel soul gourger. While this plan is going on hive gangs appear from the deep to achieve their own goals and cross paths with the cultists. The defilers of the flawless host success or pay the price for failure. Bit long but that is what iv come up with for the theme of my board. Just thought might share for feedback or input to improve on my original idea;-)

    3. I like the idea of a board with an under construction knight with all the platforms around it to work on the various parts ..... maybe it's time to open that copy of imperial knights renegade I've got in my cupboard of shame!🤔

  9. I've got hold of two of the new knights from forgebane so going to use them in the scenery maybe half constructed so it looks like it's a fully operational forge.

  10. My bad the cultists are called Defilers of the flawed. As we are the Flawless host and everything else is flawed; -)

Seriously, tho, that looks great! I need to get this Slaanesh Army done, or at least far enough ahead of schedule that I can get back to working on Terrain.

    1. It makes a nice change of pace to work on scenic boards. although it really takes up a lot of room while under construction.
