The Colours of Chaos - The Wall of Profligacy

I Bought GW's box set of two Bastions and 3 Aegis Lines when they first came out many moons ago and painted them up with a generic colour scheme because at the time, it wasn't possible to include them in an army, so I just used them as terrain. When 6th edition hit I started using an Aegis Defence Line in my army, usually (wo)manned by a squad of Daemonettes. As I was using the ADL pretty regularly, I figured they needed the Castigators' artisans to get busy and tart them up a bit from the standard codex grey of the Imperium. Here's how they turned out.....

So with a bit of Greenstuff and a raid on the bits box I present to you the Wall of Profligacy.

I'm pretty pleased with how they turned out. They're likely to be an on-going project as I plan to add the trophy or two to commemorate battles against worthy foes.....such as Steve's Emperor's Children, Rob's Death Guard or maybe the head of Neil's Bloodthirster.
Until next time, may our Lady favour you with her number....

  1. Great job. It looks far better all Chaosy than I thought it would. I really like how you do your purples.

I also own one from back in the day but I've only bothered using it a few times since they become usable. I play too aggressively to ever get much value out of it.

  2. Thanks.
I've hardly used it since 7th edition came out, but it's fun to mix things up now and then. My army has started to lean more towards assault these days, although with the release of Imperial Armour Vol.13 I might be putting in more tanks again ;-)
