A new author - me!

Hi all.

In the real world I'm Iain Miller but some of you may know me as either daddy troll (Warhammer forum) or old git (B&C). I've known Gaz for quite a few years now, he and I share a similar view of what 40k should be about and so he asked me to pen an article or two to, I hope, complement his own. This is all new to me so I'm not sure where this will take me. Maybe a bit of background will help you understand where I come from, in hobby terms.

I was dragged into the war gaming hobby in the late 80s by 3rd ed Fantasy. 40k soon piqued my interest and gradually took over my hobby time and effort to the point where I stopped fantasy altogether in its 6th edition. Other games came and went - Bloodbowl, Flames of War etc but 40k was, and still is my main interest, some might say obsession.

I know Gary's blog is all about chaos, and I do have a large-ish khorneate force (The Red Tide) but at heart I'm what Gary would call an imperial lapdog. My primary collection is around 10k points worth of Red Scorpions and I'm currently building, amongst other lesser projects, a drop pod based Minotaurs force.

Enough for now. Once I set myself up properly with ideas and pics I'll show some of my stuff and amaze you all with my ramblings. See you soon.

Iain.

    Welcome Ian!
Even if you admit that you're basically a Loyalist :-), I think we're all anxious to hear your stories.

  3. Hi Iain, nice to see Gary is sharing his site. You've got some high standards to live up to regarding Gary's modelling, painting & articles, but having seen some of your Armies over the last 15 years or so I'm sure that won't be a problem for you.
So in conclusion Welcome & hurry it with some juicy content (& plenty of pictures).

  4. Hello and welcome! The exotic mix of readers of this blog will be more than pleased to find more about your adventures in the Age of Castigator. :-D The massed ranks of Khornate Berzerkers certainly do benefit from the new rules in the Traitor Legions supplement. Oh, if we only had those back in 2012 when I put my World Eaters together! Cheers.

  5. Thanks all so far. I work 4 days on followed by 4 off (but that may change soon) so I have plenty of time for posting stuff.
    Let's see what you want first;

    Red Scorpions
    Minotaurs
    The Red Tide (Khorne)
My clubs (The Ribble Warriors, by the way) Necromunda campaign.
My two knights (one loyalist, one renegade).

    Your choice.

The Red Tide for sure, just to start :-) but it's all interesting and it will certainly be inspiring.
