Necromunda Terrain Tile 4 - Sawbone Sali's

Greetings Sinners!
After trying my hand at casting, I've finally got around to working on my fourth terrain tile for my Necromunda board. I'm really pleased with how the Zone Mortalis tiles turned out (So much so that I'll be going back to the other 3 terrain tiles and adding the Zone Mortalis feel to them as well), they are really quick to paint and add that Hive City feel with minimum effort.
For the fourth Sister I wanted to add more platform space and the tile will marry up (back to back) with Terrain Tile 2, this should give me more diversity in my terrain layouts and allow Rob and I to come up with endless variations.

Although the main access to the platform is the lift (elevator for our colonial cousins) I plan on adding another way up there with a cargo container.....if I don't chop all of them up first.....

GW's Munitorum Armoured Containers are great kits for terrain aficionados, they're incredibly versatile and I can see me buying more of them in the future. This particular one has been chopped up to create the med-facility by the name of Sawbones Sali's.

Now that I've taken some photos, I'm thinking that the slip plate around the lift could do with some hazard stripes around it....nothing says Necromunda like hazard stripes (apart from Iron Warriors).

So if you find yourself down Stranglevine Creek and you need fixing up, ask for Sawbone Sali's. Discreet, reliable and it won't cost you an arm and a leg*

Overall though, I'm pretty happy with how it's turned out and I'm looking forward to playing a game on it next week with Rob.
Until next time.......may Our Lady grant you her number ;-)

Congratulations for the achievement, I think all your readers do not expect more than to see the whole work together in a nice report of war! The med facility transmits the right dose of anxiety (and humor). Bravo!!!

I'm still trying to figure out the best way to report a Necromunda battle. The games are much more fluid than they are with 40k's 'I Go, You Go' system. While it makes the games much more interesting, it's proving to be a bit of problem to report on it.

If I may be so bold, I'd suggest a narrative approach ... but maybe it's more because I really enjoy reading your stories rather than sequences of actions.😆

    3. Rob and I are already leaning in that direction. I might add some game explanations so readers can understand certain aspects but we both feel that a more narrative bent will read better. Once we get more games under our belt, I'll look to write up a report.....who knows? There may be Necromunda news-sheet once more gangs get involved!

  2. Love the multi level style of this and the use of different pieces put together to almost tell a story. Added you to our blog roll. Cheers DOC

I'm trying to incorporate as many story hooks as I can into each terrain tile.....without compromising playability. All of my four sisters tiles were initially designed as edge pieces to 'box' in a table edge and add a certain claustrophobic feel of the Underhive but I've found that they work pretty much anywhere thanks to the platforms.
      Thanks for dropping by.

  4. Rumours that Sali also owns a Kebab shop on the Eastside are nothing more than spurious comments spread by malicious gossip!
