The lion the witch and the warlord

The Ash Plains that span the distances between the Hive clusters are inhospitable to human life, they are however populated by many Hardy Beasts one of these is the desert liger. Ferocious predators able to rip apart entire settlements. These beasts can be broken by a particularly forceful leader.

Of course it helps if you know someone with a particularly indomitable will able to subdue the wild animals with his mind alone.

    1. Thanks. There is a whole world to explore outside the relative safety of the underhive.

  3. I was wondering as I have just noticed the joint line on the ligers from paw is very pronounced and I would like to fill it and repaint if anyone has had any experience touching up contrast paints? do they stay smooth or am I better off repainting a larger section?

    1. As long as you have the primer (Grey Seer or the other one) in a pot, you should be able to get away with just doing that area. I've done it while working on the Coarsemen and it was fine. Just feather the new colour where it meets the existing colour with pure contrast medium on your brush to avoid any double saturation of colour.

    2. Unfortunately I used a bone colour primer I found in a pound shop .... maybe I will get away with using bleached bone....and if i can remember the mix of yellow and brown i used🙈

    3. You could always patch it roughly and then use a black tint using Nuln Oil mixed with medium or Black Contrast mixed with Contrast medium to add a colour variation on all four paws.

Thankfully, there's a solid wall between Rockridge and the Ash Wastes....oh wait...

  5. He looks like Jack Nicholson. And you have confirmed my desire to use Sector Imperialis bases on the BF minis. Thank you!

    1. I wasnt sure about the sector mechanicum bases at first as I thought they were not quite as sharp or fine as gw's usual high quality but after batch painting a bunch with a quick paint job I was very happy with the look.
