Soul Grinder of Slaanesh- WIP

Greetings sinners!
With the Southern Invitational less than five days away, I've been beavering away on my Slaanesh Soul Grinder. Unfortunately I'll only have two days of free time to paint 15 Furies and re-equip my Slaanesh Lord with a Fist and Claw. So for the time being this will have to suffice.....

I part built this a few years ago, but thanks to my Hobby Butterfly Syndrome, it's been lying around in a box waiting impatiently for the touch of my capricious brush. I'm pretty happy with how he's coming along.

There's still a lot of work to be done on him, like the scales on his face, tattoos, more detailing and I'm also thinking of adding a suitable victim to the 'tail claw'. Who this victim will be, I haven't yet decided, but the front runners are one of Alex's Space Wolves, Iain's Red Scorpions or maybe my brother in sin's Khorne Lord ally!.....time will tell.

I'm really enjoying painting this model, so much so, that I'm struggling to stop painting it. Unfortunately I have too much to paint and not enough time, so for now he'll have to do.
Hopefully he'll do me proud at the Southern Invitational this weekend, and providing I don't get too drunk, I'll post up a report of how it all went.
Until next time......may Our Lady Grant you her number! ;-)

  2. Very Nice shame I will shoot it off table turn 1 if we get to play this weekend. You know I don't like you playing with your new toys :-)

    1. If you shoot it off of the table with a Daemonkin army then I'm really in trouble!

  3. Wow! I can see where you could spend months working on just this model. Looks amazing. Great conversion. You can always come back later and give her a few more hours of your time! Good luck at the invitational!

I'll definitely be returning to him to finish him off when I have time.

  4. Such a cool conversion. I'm really liking your freehand work on there too. Be great to see this one done at some point.

Good luck at the event. Any event with booze is my kind of event.

  5. Looks great pal! I see you have changed the tail? It's taken you about 5 years to finish it well worth the wait .;-)

  6. Are you going to try and put it on a base Gary? I know the basic 'grinder doesn't come with one but it does make things easier for movement and combat.

  7. Haven't really thought about a base Iain. It would certainly make it easier for movement and combat but it would be more cumbersome to transport to events. I'll see how it plays at the weekend and decide then.
